Who we are.
The Informed Healthcare Student Assocation (IHSA) at the University of Houston seeks to educate undergraduates by providing resources and connections to various fields in healthcare. IHSA aims to help students take the next step in their education and approach the future with confidence.
Why IHSA.
The purpose of the organization is to educate undergraduates interested in a career in healthcare yet unsure of which field to choose due to lack of exposure. We found this to be a common struggle many students face in college. IHSA also helps provide opportunities (shadowing/volunteering) for first-generation immigrants/students who otherwise might not have the privelege of having family/friends with a healthcare background.
